Summary of Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced diesel/heavy machinery mechanic who is skilled at inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of vehicles, trailers, and equipment related to the asphalt paving industry.  Items include dump trucks, 1-ton diesel flatbeds, various pickups and smaller gas vehicles, air brake trailers, electric brake trailers, pavers, rollers, air compressors, skid steers, hydraulic skid steer attachments, and various small engine items.  Fleet Manager responsibilities include scheduling planned maintenance and inspections, managing DVIRs, educating crew on proper care and use of equipment, parts ordering, and using maintenance software to record all work done to assets.  The successful applicant will have experience with the means and methods necessary for repairing and managing the aforementioned items, and in particular, a great attention to detail to record keeping.

  • 3 years experience in the diesel/heavy equipment repair industry

This position has a wage range of $26-$32/hour depending on experience and certifications.
