Some streets and parking lots are so heavily travelled that it becomes impractical to use traditional traffic paint for pavement markings because they will fade too quickly. It can be burdensome to shut down parking areas or thoroughfares to apply pavement markings, so this product serves as a longer-life solution to paint.
Thermoplasty is applied using a heat-bonded application process. It is used on interstate highways and at intersections on public thoroughfares for things such as arrows, HOV markings, stall stripes and crosswalk bars. This product is expected to have a lifespan of approximately 5-7 times the lifespan of paint.
