Summary of Responsibilities
The Account Manager position is what is commonly known as an Estimator in our industry. However, we break apart the traditional roles of this position into two separate job functions. The Account Manager meets customers in the field, gathers measurements and specifications, builds relationships and focuses on selling work. There is a counterpart position of Inside Estimator who works with the Account Manager to prepare the quote, including the prices and various documents to send to the customer. These two must work well as a team to achieve our common goals.
